Quality Control Measures

Quality Control Measures

At Ram Janaki Aqua Pvt. Ltd., we prioritize purity, safety, and quality assurance at every stage of water processing. Our multi-level quality control system ensures that each bottle meets stringent BIS, FSSAI, and international safety standards before reaching consumers.

Our quality control process includes multiple layers of testing, both daily in-house and through external BIS-approved laboratories, to guarantee compliance with BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards), FSSAI, and other international safety regulations to ensure compliance with all required parameters, including chemical composition, microbiological safety, physical integrity, and taste consistency.

Visual Inspection & Packaging Quality Check
Ram Janaki Pvt. Ltd.

Our team conducts rigorous daily inspections to verify packaging integrity and branding standards. The following checks are conducted before dispatch :

  • Labeling & Branding : Ensuring accurate and correctly positioned labels without misprints or defects.
  • Leakage & Bottle Integrity : Examining bottles for leaks, structural weaknesses, and seal security.
  • Capping & Sealing : Ensuring tamper-proof capping to prevent contamination.
  • Batch Coding Verification : Confirming that manufacturing and batch details are printed correctly for traceability.

Bottles that fail any of these strict visual inspection criteria are immediately rejected to maintain quality assurance.

Finished Product Testing

Each batch undergoes comprehensive testing for physical, chemical, and microbiological parameters to guarantee purity and compliance.

A. TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) & General Parameters Testing

  • TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) : We carefully monitor and regulate TDS levels to maintain optimal mineral balance and superior taste. The ideal TDS range (as per BIS) ensures that our water retains essential minerals while eliminating harmful contaminants.
  • Chemical Composition : Testing ensures that vital mineral concentrations remain within safe limits, including :
  • Calcium (Ca) – Essential for bone strength and hydration.
  • Magnesium (Mg) – Helps in muscle function and electrolyte balance.
  • Sulphate (SO42-) - Naturally present but regulated for safety.
  • pH Level Monitoring : Maintaining a balanced pH to ensure smooth taste and compatibility with the human body.

All these parameters are tested in-house daily and verified periodically in external BIS-approved laboratories.

B. Organoleptic Testing

Our in-house experts assess the sensory attributes of our water to ensure a refreshing and premium drinking experience :

  • Taste : Checked to maintain crisp, clean, and refreshing flavor.
  • Odor : Ensuring the water remains neutral and odor-free.
  • Clarity & Appearance : Free from turbidity, color, or any visible impurities

Water that fails organoleptic standards is immediately retested and discarded if necessary.

C. Toxic Substance Testing

To protect consumers from potential hazards, we conduct biannual external lab tests for heavy metals :

  • Lead (Pb) - Ensuring levels are below permissible limits.
  • Mercury (Hg) - Testing for zero contamination
  • Nickel (Ni) - Ensuring safety from industrial residues

D. Radioactive & Pesticide Residue Testing

To eliminate potential health risks, we conduct six-monthly external tests for :

  • Radioactive Residues : Checking for Alpha & Beta emitters that could indicate contamination from underground sources.
  • Pesticides & Herbicides : Ensuring that traces of agricultural chemicals are well within BIS-specified limits.

E. Microbiological Testing

Microbiological testing is conducted daily in-house and verified monthly in BIS-approved external labs to ensure absolute safety from pathogens.

  • Total Coliform & E. coli Detection : Ensuring the absence of harmful bacteria.
  • Yeast & Mold Testing : Preventing fungal contamination.
  • Pathogen Screening : Testing for Salmonella, Vibrio cholerae, and Shigella.

Any sample that fails microbiological testing is immediately discarded and the production process is reviewed for improvements.

Final Compliance & Dispatch Process

Before dispatch, we conduct a final round of verification to ensure absolute compliance with BIS and FSSAI safety standards.

  • Compliance Certification : Each batch must pass all quality control tests before being approved for distribution.
  • Batch Verification : Final test reports confirm compliance with physical, chemical and microbiological safety parameters.
  • Holding Period : Finished products are kept under observation for 48 hours before dispatch to allow for final test confirmations.

Only after meeting all safety and quality standards, we do approve and dispatch our bottled water, ensuring customers receive nothing but pure, safe, and refreshing hydration.

With these advanced quality control measures, Ram Janaki Aqua Pvt. Ltd. continues to set new industry benchmarks in purity, safety, and reliability.
